Mootion AI is the video-creation platform at mootion.com. For a multi-scene story, begin with the source script, a small cast and one clear action per scene. Review the storyboard before expanding it into motion, narration and a finished export.
For a restrained performance beat, explore the PixVerse V6 guide and original drama reference pair.
Choose Mootion Director Mode or Instant Mode
The official FAQ distinguishes single-prompt Instant Mode from storyboard-first Director Mode for multi-shot work. That distinction matters more than a general promise of speed. Choose the route that exposes the decisions your project needs, then verify the current controls in your account.
Our example below is a four-scene fictional story, so its planning structure suits a storyboard-first process. We did not run it in Mootion. The source, illustrations and planning files are independent Clout resources; they do not prove the platform’s motion, voice or character consistency.
Start from an original source story
The Paper Crane follows Mara, a traveler in a yellow raincoat, who finds a blue paper crane at a rainy station. She shelters it, a child searches the bench, and she returns it. The event chain is simple enough to inspect without adding a new character or location to every shot.
Download the original source script. Each of its four sentences has an ID, S1 through S4. The scene plan assigns each sentence once and keeps the narration identical to its source segment. These IDs are our planning convention, not Mootion syntax.
Inspect the original four scene storyboard

These are original independently generated planning illustrations, not Mootion outputs or animated footage. Download the full storyboard PNG. The separate cover is editorial artwork inspired by the story and is not an exported provider frame.
Preserve the story before embellishing the prompt
Every shot has a job. The opening establishes the found object. The close shot explains Mara’s care. The empty bench creates the child’s problem. The handoff resolves it. If a generated scene adds a second crane, changes the child’s goal or returns the object before the search, the event chain changes even if the picture looks attractive.
| Source | Scene purpose | Keep fixed |
|---|---|---|
| S1 | Find the lost object | Blue crane on the bench and Mara’s yellow coat |
| S2 | Protect it from the rain | The same blue crane and blue awning |
| S3 | Show who is searching | Red scarf teal coat and an empty bench |
| S4 | Return the object | Child receives the crane rather than another prop |
The observed board preserves those broad colors and the event order. The crane’s fold contours vary between views, and the last panel shows the handoff in progress. Those are recorded limitations, not a claim of exact object geometry or completed motion.
Use the scene plan as a review contract
Download the original scene-plan JSON. It includes source IDs, narration, framing, visible action, character references and planned duration. It is a portable planning file, not a Mootion import schema.
The plan contains 51 whitespace-counted words across 36 planned seconds. Its assumed 120 words per minute gives 25.5 seconds of estimated speech before pauses and performance choices. That arithmetic is not a recorded voiceover and does not establish the duration of a finished video.
Download the timing CSV. Scene durations are eleven, eight, eight and nine seconds, starting at zero, eleven, nineteen and twenty-seven. Record the actual narration and accepted motion duration before locking an edit. A small pause can matter more than making every shot the same length.
Audit source coverage before generating
Download the original plan audit. Run it with Bun and the scene-plan JSON beside the source text. It checks the source hash, source assignment, exact narration text, scene order, contiguous planned timings and word-count estimates without making a network or model call.
This catches a narrow set of planning mistakes. It cannot judge acting, shot quality, pronunciation, motion or the platform’s behavior. For factual lessons or product explanations, validate the underlying source separately; matching narration to an incorrect source does not make it true.
Prepare references for recurring characters
Mootion’s FAQ describes selecting saved characters from its Character Library in Director Mode. Treat a saved character as an input to review, rather than a guarantee that every frame preserves the same face, clothing or proportions. Check the moving output and the moments when the character turns or touches a prop.
Plan the four scenes from the supplied source without adding events. Preserve Mara’s yellow raincoat, the child’s red scarf and teal coat, and one blue paper crane. Propose the selected model, duration, output settings and current cost before rendering. Keep the bench empty during the search scene.
This is an unexecuted planning prompt. It makes the important constraints explicit while leaving framing and performance open to review. Use owned references for real people or commercial products and inspect the actual result before publishing.
Mootion pricing and whether it is free
The current homepage FAQ says creating and downloading videos requires a paid plan. Our November 1 pricing snapshot lists Standard at $15 monthly with 1,500 monthly credits, Plus at $25 with 3,000, Pro at $50 with 8,000 and Max at $200 with 32,000.
Annual billing is displayed separately: Standard’s $12 monthly equivalent is $144 billed yearly; Plus is $20 equivalent and $240 yearly; Pro is $40 and $480; Max is $160 and $1,920. An annual equivalent is not a month-to-month charge. Verify the current selected interval and total before paying.
No checkout, allowance, generation cost or queue was tested. A monthly credit allocation does not establish how many accepted stories your settings will produce. Budget for rejected takes and finishing work rather than treating the first generation as the final delivery.
Review the exported pieces before the final cut
The provider’s homepage describes downloading video and a story ZIP containing production pieces. Inspect the actual package available in your account. A promised export route is not evidence that we received its files, and a storyboard still is not a rendered action.
Download our filled storyboard review. It records the visible wardrobe, blue crane, empty bench and handoff limitation. Download the local panel-extraction source and crop rectangles to reproduce the published panel files from the full PNG.
Continue with the right production workflow
For a separate Clout project, explore Faceless Studio or AI Cinema. Clout publishes this independent guide and is a separate service. No cross-service result comparison or shared character library is claimed.
Use the beat timing reference for music-led editing, the fixed-source crop exercise for delivery formats and the video brief builder to make the next operation reviewable.
