Choose the job of the Instagram ad
An AI Instagram ad generator helps prepare creative assets such as a product image, demonstration clip or creator-style explanation. It does not, by itself, establish the campaign audience, budget, platform approval or commercial result. Start by deciding what a viewer should understand and what action should follow.
In Clout Marketing Studio, select an available image or video workflow, supply owned product references and inspect the current generation quote. This guide covers preparing and reviewing the creative. Uploading, configuring and publishing a paid campaign remain separate steps in the ad platform.
Plan one message for one destination
Write a single sentence that connects the visual to the destination: show how the fictional adjustable desk lamp directs light, then invite the viewer to inspect that lamp. A color-selection ad can instead show the available variants and link to the same product with those options visible. Avoid sending a specific feature promise to a page that never explains it.
Use the ad copy brief and prompt to prepare the headline and CTA. Keep the offer constant while exploring visual ideas. If you change product, offer, destination and format simultaneously, you can compare the resulting packages but cannot isolate the cause of a performance difference.
Separate Feed Stories and Reels planning
| Placement plan | Creative question | Preview check |
|---|---|---|
| Feed | Can the product and message be understood in the chosen crop | Subject remains readable in the actual preview |
| Stories | Does the vertical composition leave room for platform elements | Key text and product avoid interface obstruction |
| Reels | Does the opening establish the product before the next beat | Motion, captions and ending action remain clear |
These are editorial planning questions, not a numeric specification table. Check the current Meta Ads Guide and your selected placement in the actual ad interface for dimensions, duration, file and text requirements. The public guide required login during this research, so this page does not assert current numeric limits.
Review each selected placement rather than assuming an automatic crop preserves the design. Keep critical details away from the edge and inspect the final mobile preview. If a composition needs a different framing, prepare a deliberate version rather than stretching the original.
Build a three-beat demonstration brief
For an original fictional lamp example, the opening establishes the item on a desk. The middle shows one adjustment of the head. The ending holds a clear product view beside a concise CTA. That structure is a planning example, not a rendered advertisement or a claim about a real lamp.
Prepare a product-led Instagram creative using the approved lamp reference. Keep the exact variant recognizable. Opening: a readable view of the lamp on a simple desk. Middle: one small head adjustment with stable body and base. Ending: a clear product view with space for approved copy added later. Keep the scene focused on this product. No invented accessories, customer quotes, performance statistics or price labels.
Check which references, durations and controls the selected model actually supports. This brief describes desired behavior; it does not guarantee product preservation or precise motion. If the adjustment changes the lamp geometry, use a simpler shot or real demonstration footage. A readable genuine feature demonstration is more useful than a polished clip of an impossible mechanism.
Prepare a small creative set
Start with a product-led still, a short demonstration concept and a detail-focused variant. Give each a named hypothesis. The still may emphasize recognition, the demonstration may explain a feature and the detail may answer a product question. Do not label them winners before testing.
Use the B-roll planner for supporting shot briefs and the product video guide for continuity review. These resources help organize the work; they do not automatically assemble or publish an Instagram campaign. Download the blank placement review worksheet to track the source, crop, copy and acceptance decision for each variant.
Review the whole export with and without sound
Watch the entire clip at normal speed. Check product identity at the beginning, during movement and at the ending hold. Read captions on a phone-sized preview and check that they match any speech. Review the silent version for comprehension and the sound-on version for timing, unwanted artifacts and mismatched narration.
Inspect text after export, not only inside the editor. Check that any music, voice, customer quote and source image are appropriate for the intended use. Generated imagery can represent an invented scene; it should not be presented as documentary evidence of a real customer result.
Measure the campaign separately from generation quality
A clean export establishes that the creative passed your review. It does not establish platform approval, profitable acquisition or a successful audience choice. Configure the campaign and measurement in the platform, then check that its destination and conversion event match the business question.
Adobe’s testing checklist distinguishes single-variable A/B tests from multivariate tests. Decide whether you are comparing full creative concepts or isolating one change. Record spend, the chosen outcome and your decision window before interpreting results. Do not infer a sales improvement from views alone.
Adapt an existing clip carefully
The video expansion guide explains when adding scenery differs from cropping or adding time. Review the exported edges through the whole motion.
