Clout legal
Content and Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: September 21, 2026
Scope
This policy forms part of our Terms of Service and applies to prompts, reference images, photographs, video, audio, likenesses, generated outputs, downloads, and any other use of Clout. The Service is for adults aged 18 or older and lawful creator workflows. These restrictions apply to private content as well as content intended for publication, including fictional, synthetic, edited, and AI-generated depictions.
Prohibited content
You must not upload, request, generate, modify, distribute, or promote any of the following:
- Child sexual abuse or exploitation material, sexualized depictions of minors, or sexual content involving anyone depicted or presented as under 18, including fictional or AI-generated minors.
- Adult, pornographic, sexually explicit, or obscene content; non-consensual sexual or intimate imagery; sexual exploitation; bestiality; incest; or other extreme sexual content.
- Unauthorized deepfakes, face swaps, voice clones, impersonation, or use of another person’s image, voice, or likeness without the necessary consent and rights. Consent does not make otherwise prohibited content permissible.
- Illegal content or material that facilitates criminal conduct, exploitation, threats, harassment, or abuse.
- Hateful content targeting protected characteristics, terrorist or extremist propaganda, recruitment, or encouragement of violence.
- Copyright- or trademark-infringing material, counterfeit assets, or material that violates privacy, publicity, confidentiality, or other third-party rights.
- Attempts to evade safety controls, conceal prohibited instructions, or repeatedly resubmit prohibited content using different accounts or wording.
Ownership, permission, and consent
Before uploading or referencing any material, you must own it or have a license and all necessary permissions for the intended AI processing and use. For identifiable people, you must have the required consent for use of their likeness or voice. Public availability is not permission. Keep records of licenses and consent; we may request them and restrict content or access if you cannot provide adequate evidence. A user’s assertion of permission is not independent verification of ownership or consent.
Safety controls and their limits
Clout uses automated prompt analysis in supported generation workflows to identify and sanitize prohibited instructions. Third-party AI services may also reject requests under their own safety rules. Coverage varies by workflow and provider; these controls do not establish that every uploaded file or generated output has been reviewed before it is available. Automated checks can miss violations and do not independently verify a person’s age, consent, or ownership of source material. A successful generation does not mean the content is permitted. You remain responsible for complying with this policy.
For requests processed through fal.ai, Fal describes provider-operated CSAM hash matching and automated multimodal content moderation in its Trust & Safety policy. Those protections are operated by Fal; their published description is not a guarantee of universal screening across Clout’s workflows or other providers.
Report prohibited content or a rights violation
Send reports to team@tryclout.ai with the subject “Content safety report”. Include the relevant content URL or generation identifier, account or workspace details if known, the category of concern, and a short explanation. For rights complaints, include your contact information, identification of the protected work or likeness, and the basis for your claim. Do not download, copy, or attach suspected child sexual abuse material; report identifiers and locations only.
Review, restriction, and escalation
Reports and suspected violations may lead to review of the relevant prompts, source materials, outputs, and account activity. We may request supporting permissions, restrict access to content, remove content, block generation, or suspend or terminate accounts, including for repeat violations or attempts to bypass controls. We may preserve relevant records and escalate matters to our service providers, payment partners, or competent authorities as required by law. Suspected child exploitation or an immediate threat to safety requires urgent escalation to the appropriate authorities. To dispute a restriction or provide evidence of authorization, contact team@tryclout.ai. Nothing in this policy guarantees that all violations will be detected.
