FOCUS AND EDGE REVIEW BRIEF Original educational review exercise by Clout Native camera capture Use the manufacturer instructions for your exact camera and focusing mode. Set a peaking color that remains visible against the subject. Turn the focus ring deliberately and inspect the subject detail with magnification where available. Review a saved test image at its intended delivery size. Do not infer support from another camera model. Original edge chart Load the authored chart and compare thresholds twelve and forty. The left region is a sharp high contrast boundary the middle is a digitally blurred high contrast boundary and the right is a sharp low contrast boundary. Compare the overlay mask and source together. More marked pixels do not mean better optical focus. Original or generated image review Keep the source and intended subject region. Inspect eye detail hair lettering product markings and important scene edges without relying on an overall edge count. High contrast invented texture can produce strong marks while remaining factually wrong. Flat areas can be correctly represented without generating marks. Video review Inspect the full exported clip at normal speed and check important frames for lost subject detail changing texture and unstable sharpening halos. An exported overlay is a visible diagnostic image and is not a vendor camera setting. The local tool uses declared RGB byte weights and a Sobel edge operator. It does not infer focus distance sharpen an image recover lost detail certify optical focus or call an AI model.
